Riston-o-rama
Well - once again it's been ages since I've updated. Such is life I suppose. This smashing picture of Riston was taken last week at the Brickyard here in town. Riston was in town for three days staying with Sean and I - and I must say it was a crazy three days. The crap part was that I had to work all of three said days. I think Sean and Riston partied it up for me though - as only Sean and Riston can do.

Photographic Evidence of the Super Nerd
Although I am aware that Ryan is currently composing his "retort" to the "insulting slander" I posted previously - I feel the need to post evidence of the Super Nerd. The supposed slander towards Ryan is completely unintentional. And besides, really, we all know the truth deep down.
As for the accusations that I am a hypocrit for posting rants about the "super nerd" in my blog, on the internet (of all places) I never said I wasn't nerdy. I'm just not totally or superly nerdy.
Further to presenting evidence I will here provide the links to other sites:
Evidence of Sean see The Nerd Files
Ryan's own incriminating work can be found at Rhine.ca

My Boyfriend - The SUPER nerd
I feel the need to advertise that I've been dating a super nerd for the last 4+ years. Although I have been aware of his nerdish tendancies - since Ryan moved here the nerdiness has become full blown.
The two of them just bought the same game together (Battelfield) so they could play online and pretend to butcher each other (or not I suppose, if they're playing on the same team). They also always talk about nerdy things when together.
Although a nerd in my own right - I am not a PS2 nerd, nor a computer nerd (atleast not much of one). Just a bionut.

Ryan!
After a hellish week at work - Friday night was a fun combination of Tacos, Coronas, Sol, Peacan pie and a whole lotta Dance Dance Revolution.
A new comer to DDR I was blown away by the sheer entertainment of it. Carly and Ryan are very good at it. Sean needs a lot of practise. I think I did alright for a first timer.
Today is Saturday and we're finally ridding ourselves of Telus. Screw them. We're going to try Shaw Digital Phone. So today is full of waiting around for the Shaw Cable guy to show. He phoned and said he'll be here sometime between one and four.
Whoop.

Hot Shots (not part deux)
As an update (for those who may care) in my Maximo:Army of Zin progress - it's not progressing. I have been ousted by Hot Shots - a highly addictive golf game for PS2 that Sean bought a few days ago. It is regulary enjoyed by Sean, Ryan and myself.

Adventures at the Ocean with Ryan and Carly
Although it rained continuously (or near continuously) all day Saturday the weather decided to hold off the rain for the majority of Sunday. Seizing apon this unusual opportunity Ryan, Carly, Sean and myself went on an adventure to Beacon Hill Park, the Ocean near Clover Point, then to China town, and finishing off with a grocery shop at Market on Yates.
There were tons of ducks, as per usual, at Beacon Hill today but the squirrels were also out in full force. I saw some really cute old people feeding the squirrels - which may explain their abundance where we were. It always tugs at my heart strings when I see old people taking care of each other. In this case it was an old man pushing his wife in a wheel chair through the park. Stratigically feeding the squirrels peanuts so they would come right up to her.
Near the parking lot near the petting zoo we saw this squirrel with a huge red nut (or something) in it's mouth. I can't believe it could even carry it. I was going to take a picture, however the squirrel was in a hurry and ran into the road. Right as a car was approaching - I totally thought it was a goner, but it ran back at us at the very last second. The fright took away my picture taking abilities.
The ocean was pretty sweet. It was nice that it wasn't too cold out, although my ears did get cold. The tide was high so we didn't get to see any really interesting. Carly pointed out the decorator crab that I've posted a picture of. I have no idea what it was doing in the middle of the beach with few decorations on it. Although it does appear to have placed some sponge or algae on it's back. We left it in the middle of the beach becasue I don't like the move things. I've had too many experiences where the crows and or seagulls watch when you move things, then as soon as you've moved about a foot, they swoop in and eat it.
The trip to China town was mostly about getting produce. Sean found some really good looking potstickers in a huge bag for $8 so hopefully those taste good.
After eating dinner (mmm... sloppy joes), I played Maximo: Army of Zin which I started the previous night with Sean and Ryan. Having never played a lot of video games I'm finding it quite difficult - but am on the fourth level (if it can be called that - it may be more like fourth area). I wonder how many months it will take me to finish. Or how many weeks it will take me to figure out how to jump properly with my character and stop falling to my death.
The five hours of walking have made me sleepy though - and due to it being Monday tomorrow (bleh) I must sleeps.
Zzzz's everyone.
